Sunday afternoon at the Quintessential Colonial Taj property, “Taj West End, Bangalore”

When it’s your birthday, you must live by your own principles. Well, one should always live by his/her own principles; being honest to self is the most important thing to be done.

So, it has to be the day for “Do it Big, Do it Right & Do it With Style”. The birthday was fortunately on a Sunday that allowed me to choose any place of my choice. Well it’s a luxury to have your birthday on a weekend, when you are a corporate professional and you are staying in Bangalore (the traffiic 😉 )

The Sunday Brunch, it has to be opulent. And I chose the quintessential Taj. After much browsing online through the multiple Taj properties in Bangalore, Taj West End at Race Course Road, Bangalore captured my attention.

Fast forward, we reached the property at the perfect time; getting the table was easy due to prior made appointment. We took the outdoor seating area. There was live jazz. The winter chill in the air, was so perfect for the afternoon to be spent .

Right now as I am penning down an experience of 8 months, I am in two minds. Should I right about the food or the experience? Well, it’s in the experience; the 360 degree experience that you get right in the lap of the luxury of old english colonial property. Quoting from the website, ” Home to the second-oldest tree in the city and a Victorian-era postbox still in use.”

Started in 1887, by the Bronsons as a 10-room inn; as of today, is a property speaking of experience.

As much as I enjoyed the lavish brunch spread, the vibes of the property rejuvenated me. If you allow yourself, the fine character of the landscape will surely touch your soul.

The joyful upcoming Christmas vibes, the jazz of music, the meal by the pool side, and the courteous hospitality, could I have asked for more!

I will let the snapshots of the day speak to you. The ambience, the food and the hospitality is well accounted to Value for Money.
