#WorldTourismDay2018 – 27th September, 2018
In the travel vocab, a lot has been going on whether a person is traveller or tourist or both! That used to raise my self conscience, “who am I?”. And I come to the conclusion, “I am definitely a traveller at heart and soul, who loves to top up her experiences with flavours of tourism.”
So on this World Tourism Day, I bring my last year’s travel experience as a traveller and a tourist to Coorg – Kodagu district of Karnataka, India.
23rd June 2017
7.45 am : Boarded flight from Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport -> Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport (myself and another friend)
8.50 am : Arrived at Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport
9.30 am : Got into the reserved cab and started for our friend’s place near Whitefields
12.30 pm : Lunch with these two at nearby Gilly’s restaurant in Bengaluru
2.30 pm : Enroute Coorg (Kodagu)
And the rest is history which is presented to you through the pictures travelogue:

Our 2 and a half days trip to Coorg was a revitalising experience in itself. On the way back to Bengaluru, we dropped by famous Bylakuppe, the Buddhist temple and residential. Bylakuppe is the spot to locate the famous Namdroling monastery, which when we went was undergoing renovation. We could only get a glance of it from it’s outside premises. Although, we decided to get a slightly further inside the Buddhist locality, and we found what we can call, “the world of peace and serenity”.
