Deli9Bistro – the cafe delicatessen!

2017 ! A new year, it is. And, what else can be the best force to drive you ahead, other than the motive to live the Goodtimes in the best possible aesthetic way. The journey of life with family, friends, food, travel, wellness everything is blended to the Goodtimes. And adding another aesthete to that part is, my day job and that takes most of my time. I am an Engineer/Analyst in a fast growing MNC and I absolutely love that being of mine, as well. Blogging has definitely got the kickstart, by the end of the last year 2016. And all these, kind of balances the equation of my right and left brain 😉img_5159

Bringing up the first post of the year 2017 is something about the foodie soul of mine. The first meal of this year was the New Year lunch; or, precisely a brunch. Ohh, yes! after all that late night new year eve celebrations, I really couldn’t manage to wake up early to have my breakfast. And, all that definitely left me to a decision, that we will go to a known place, not so grand, but yet aesthetic.

One eatery in my mind was, “one place, multiple visits, with various people”! One such place in town, that gives you the culinary and aesthetic comfort zone in an easily affordable way. Well, culinary and affordable, you all get that right! When I say here, aesthetic, I mean the interiors 🙂 img_9432

“Deli9Bistro” – has been one such place. A bistro kinda cool, quirky, aesthetically designed; food has always been good to great; and nice to pockets, considering the new year lunch! Located at the IT hub (Gachibowli), which is the other side of the Hitech city.img_4541

All I will do is, I will put here some of the amazing and nice-to-have dishes, I had during my multiple visits. And, also, some pics of the quirky interiors. Some of the food items that I had here, over the 2 years time span are…

  1. Outrageous Nachos (Veg) – Never thought, how awesome this could be. Tortilla topped with cheese, sour cream, red salsa sauce, baked beans and garnished with cilantro and spring onions. This was an absolute indulgence, I would say. Drooling! Quantity is generously enough for 2-3 people.img_9486
  2. Crusty Garlic Foccacio With melted Cheese – Nice-to-have side dish (No photo)
  3. Cape ground Veg lasagne – This I had quite some time back. I don’t remember the exact taste and the details. But, I can definitely say, it was worth having. One of the best lasagne in Hyderabad, I had.img_5139
  4. Sundried Penne Veg pasta in pink sauce – A good one. They have it like either white sauce/red sauce. I asked them to make it a blend of both. And, it was really blended perfectly, to our taste. Added with sauteed veggies.wp_20170101_15_24_44_pro
  5. Deli 9 Bistro Garden Veg Pizza – My first tryst with the rectangular pizza. Just when I was almost in love with the large thin crust round pizzas, the person-in-service informed us graciously that it’s a rectangular pizza, while ordering. I was wondering, “a rectangular pizza? “. Though, I knew, a roman pizza is always rectangular 🙂 Why not to show some love for the roman culture! Well, the pizza tastes same as a mouth-watering awesome thin crust pizza should be. The difference in shape doesn’t bring a difference in taste. That works for me, as long as the taste is awesome 🙂img_9426img_9427
  6. Mongolian Bowl Rice (Veg) – Rice! Definitely, the last thing in my mind, while ordering in a restaurant. Yes, unlike most of the Bengalis, I actually don’t prefer for a rice dish; atleast, in a restaurant. But this was one such occasion when we were really hungry and immediately wanted to have a meal. the person-in-service was really confident to suggest us Mongolian Bowl. And, we confided in him 🙂 He asked for Rice or Noodles and Veg or Non-veg. We opted for Veg Mongolian Bowl Rice. And, as it was served, we were delighted with the quantity and the beauty of the dish. The rice was perfectly flavoured with Mongolian sauces and spices, topped with some sauteed veggies and accompanied with Papad (a typically Indian sub-continent side dish to add that extra culinary touch)img_9418
  7. Cafe Latte – Nice to have 🙂img_4518
  8. Fresh Fruit Frioska – Had it twice. Once with Watermelon and then with Orange. Added flavours are mint and lemon. And both the times, it could refresh and energise us; what a real fruit based drinks supposed to do 🙂 (Don’t have the pic got Orange frioska)deli9bistro
  9. Red velvet pastry – Nice to have. Can be passed on. Next time, I will definitely give a try to the other desserts.img_9489

For New Year, they had a special kebab platter, both for veg and non-veg separately. We took the veg kebab platter. I kept on anticipating, about the taste, texture and flavour. Wondered, which one will be good to have, or amazing. Shoutout to all the vegetarians and the veggie lovers; cooking is an art and if one can cook it with heartfelt of art and creativity and knowledge, of course 😉 , even a veg kebab platter can be this drooling.  I wish they keep it all, all throughout the year 🙂 It had Paneer/Cottage Cheese tikka, Broccoli grilled and marinated in cheese, Beetroot cutlet and Veg sheekh kebab.img_9487

Well, I have one concern about the food 😦 . No, it’s not about the taste, it’s about one food item from their menu. They had one item which I had during my first visit, big chillies filled with molten cheese and fried, kind of Cheese-chili fritters. They don’t have it anymore. It is definitely, one of the winning starters, I had in Hyderabad.

I hope they get it again on their menu 😦  🙂

Talking about the ambience; it’s definitely one of those cafes with the best kind of cool and quirky interiors. Wooden decor with quirky captions around, and great kitchen artefacts as decor items.

Waiting area 🙂
Candilicious and Quirky!
Thoughtful captions 🙂
Never ever ever give up! 😉

img_5144img_4542One recommendation is, I hope they soon add some more items in their menu 🙂 Service at this place has mostly been amazing. People-in-service have been able to suggest and explain the dishes in a profound manner. My review rating for this place goes like:img_4554

Food: 4.2

Service: 4.5

Ambience: 4.2

Value For Money: 4

Overall, this place is a great eatery for lazy laidback brunch or a casual dinner with friends, family or colleagues.
